Curzon Uranium (“Curzon”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Andrei Cherniakov as Manager Europe, CIS and Head of Trading. He will be based out of Curzon’s headquarters in Cyprus and will be responsible for the management of the trading book at Curzon as well as the point of contact for Curzon’s suppliers and customers in Europe and the CIS region.
Mr. Cherniakov is the former Marketing Director, Trading at Internexco GmbH, where he was responsible for trading U3O8. He has extensive experience in the nuclear sector across the nuclear fuel value chain. Mr. Cherniakov has a degree as economic and mathematical analyst from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute). He started his career in Moscow at Tenex, a Rosatom subsidiary, in the year 2004 where he was responsible for system analysis of uranium, conversion, SWU and EUP commercial contracts, international projects and development of sales strategy. He then moved to Rosatom’s JSC Atomredmetzoloto and further to Uranium One Holding N.V. to be focused on uranium marketing and sales. Later he has developed and headed the U3O8 trading business out of Uranium One Trading (and later Internexco GmbH) based in Switzerland.
